MCP23008 IO Expander - Decimal keypad

Now I am thinking of using another MCP23008 to interface a decimal keypad.  I have used a bipolar transistor CS9012 to drive a indicator LED.  I am looking at the old blog posts to refresh my memory of what I have been doing.
