Now my bench top is running out of space, so I decided to shift the RPi, I2C, and SPI hardware up and away, to the shoe rack behind, and the DIY 19" rack mount on top. All the power and signal wiring (I2C, SPI, UART) go behind everything, so the whole assembly looks neat and tidy, and most important of all, it is not so easy to carelessly pull signal cables too hard and damage some hardware.
