MCP23008 IO Expander - LCD1602

So I forgot about SN74LVC245 which can shift 5V0 to 3V3, but not vice versa.  Now I am using HC04 hex inverter to invert 6 of the 8 output signals from ULN2803, and use HC02, quad 2 input NOR gate to invert two other signals which will be used for controlling power or multiplexing.
