Dual MCP23008 board assembly notes

Now
I am assembling a dual MCP23008 board. I am using 2 MCP23008 instead of 1 MCP23017's because it is more flexible if I am playing with devices using less than 8 IO pins.
Last time I soldered the components from back end to front end. This time I am going reverse, from MCP20338 side to level shifter ULN2803 x 2 then to HC573. The bad thing going this way is that I no longer have the indicator LEDs for monitoring and troubleshooting. The good thing is that the wiring is not so messy, and I can do incremental testing easier.
