Using TxD and Rxd instead of Gen6

I found that RPi GPIO Gen6 seems not working.  I worried that earlier I made another careless mistake of connecting it to 5V0 instead of 3V3 and might have damaged it permanently.

So now I am thinking of using TxD and RxD to test the keypad.
